maintain its presence
maintain its presence. When one or a group seeks to undermine our sense of servanthood, it is time to speak up and flip the tables in the synagogue, so to speak. Righteous anger has its place, too, so we can never be afraid to speak out against what we feel is wrong. We have a purpose. It is to be as much like Jesus as we and the power of prayer can make ourselves, and that means to put off self and take on the cloak of servanthood. Do it selflessly and without expectations of return. After all is done, we will finally see our Lord face to face. What greater return could there possibly be?
