A Henryetta man lost his life early Sunday morning following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash along US-62, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at approximately 12:27 a.m. on April 11 at the intersection of US-62 and N. 3965 Road in Okmulgee County.
According to investigators, the motorcycle was traveling southbound on US-62 when it departed the roadway to the right for unknown reasons. The vehicle then rolled an undetermined number of times before striking a tree.
The driver, identified as 44-year-old Raymond D. Padgett Jr. of Henryetta, was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was the sole occupant of the motorcycle.
The crash remains under investigation by Trooper Weston Baker of Troop B. Officials noted that all information is preliminary and subject to change as the investigation continues.
