Preston announces fall baseball schedule

Pirates set to open 2023 season Aug. 7 against LeFlore

The Preston Pirate varsity baseball team will kick off their 2023 fall season on Monday, August 7 at the Jim Waller Sports Complex in Preston.

The opening-day opponent will be the LeFlore Savages with the first pitch being set for 4 p.m.

The Pirates will also host Red Oak the following day (Aug. 8) and will close out the first week action August 10-12 at the Glencoe Tournament.

The other two regular-season tournaments the Preston squad will compete at during the Fall season will be the annual Preston Tournament August 31 and September 1 and the Stuart Tournament the following week (Sept. 7-9).

The Pirates’ other home opponents in 2023 will be Okay (Aug. 14), Cameron and Okay (Aug. 17), New Lima (Aug. 22), Braggs (Aug. 25), Latta (Aug. 29), Kiowa (Sept. 11), Roff (Sept. 15), and Moss (Sept. 18).

Besides the Glencoe Tournament, the first regular- season road trip for the Pirates in 2023 will be Wellston on August 15.

Other regular-season road opponents this Fall season will be Okay (Aug. 21), Dale (Aug. 24), and LeFlore (Sept. 12).

The Pirates will also compete at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond on August 19 where they will take on Ripley and Hydro-Eakly in a pair 7-inning contests.

The final regular-season road date for the Preston fall baseball team will be September 16 at the Amber-Pocasset Festival. Preston’s fall baseball postseason will get underway September 21 and 22 with the Class A district tournament, followed by the regional tournament September 28-30 and the state tournament October 5-7.
