Behind a dominant offensive showing, the Dewar Dragons rolled to a 12-2 victory over Warner on Tuesday, fueled by a standout performance from Tanner Wilson.
Wilson was nearly unstoppable at the plate, collecting three hits in four at-bats, including two doubles and a single.
Dewar struck first in the opening inning, capitalizing on a Warner error to plate two runs. After Warner briefly tied the game in the bottom half, the Dragons regained control in the second inning when Stoney Yaerger delivered a two-run single to give Dewar a 4-2 advantage.
From there, the Dragons’ offense continued to pour it on, finishing with 16 hits on the day. Wilson, Traber Jones and Braelin Lewis each tallied three hits, while Lewis, Yaerger and Cooper McGee drove in two runs apiece.
On the mound, Vinton Goff delivered a steady outing, allowing just two runs (one earned) over five innings while striking out three.
Dewar also wreaked havoc on the basepaths, stealing seven bases, including two by Johnathan Wilson.
Warner was led offensively by Fowler, who went 2-for-3.
The Dragons will look to carry the momentum into their next matchup as they host Wilburton on Friday.
