Boys combine relay power, distance depth for fourth-place The Henryetta Public Schools boys track and field program produced one of its strongest combined outings of the season April 11 at Stroud, finishing fourth in both the 7th and 8th grade divisions behind relay dominance, distance success and balanced sprint contributions.
The 7th grade boys were highlighted by a first-place performance in the 4×400 relay, clocking 4:13.59 to cap a strong day on the track. The 4×800 relay added a third-place finish in 10:55.75, while the 4×100 relay placed third in 53.82 and the 4×200 relay finished fourth in 2:00.74, giving Henryetta consistent scoring across all relay events.
In individual competition, Wyatt Hares delivered a top finish in the 200-meter dash, winning the event in 26.77. Micha Bevenue added a sixthplace finish in 29.52, while Isaiah Easter contributed in multiple sprint events. In the 100 meters, Xylin Pennington led the group at 15.10.
Distance events also provided key points. Easton Sneed finished second in the 800 meters with a strong 2:27.14, while additional contributions came from middle-distance performances across the lineup. The 400-meter dash featured steady efforts from Pennington, Easter and Miles Henry.
The 8th grade boys matched the success with strong relay and distance performances of their own. Grayson Gillispie led the group with a first-place finish in the 800 meters at 2:23.26, while Landon Chamberlain placed third in both the 800 (2:32.83) and 1600 meters (5:46.64), anchoring the distance unit.
Relay competition was a major strength for the 8th grade group as well. The 4×800 relay finished second in 9:56.26, while the 4×400 relay placed third in 4:05.92. The 4×100 relay also earned third place in 49.82, with the 4×200 relay finishing sixth in 1:55.61.
In hurdles, Aziah King and Corbyn Edmundson provided additional scoring, highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the 300-meter hurdles (51.34) and an 18.02 performance in the 100-meter hurdles. Field events also contributed, including a sixth-place long jump and a 70-foot discus throw from T.J. Potter.

The 7th grade girls set the tone with one of the strongest relay performances of the meet. The 4×400 relay team earned first place in 4:50.66, while the 4×800 relay added a second-place finish in 12:11.62, giving Henryetta major points in endurance events. The 4×100 relay placed fourth in 60.00, and the 4×200 relay finished eighth in 2:18.69.
Individual sprint efforts added steady production throughout the day. In the 100-meter dash, Peyton Grauberger placed third in 14.03, followed by Rylee Bailey at 14.92 and Ansley Greenhaw at 16.41. In the 200 meters, Kinlee Bice posted a fourth-place finish in 30.14, with Bailey close behind at 31.96.
Mid-distance and distance events also contributed to the team score. Railey Farrow ran 1:15.00 in the 400 meters, while Dixie Hederick posted 3:16.34 in the 800 meters and 7:23.96 in the 1600. Hurdle events added further scoring, with a fifth-place 100-meter hurdles finish in 20.70 and a fourth-place 300-meter hurdles finish in 1:00.99.
The 8th grade girls added key performances in sprint and mid-distance events. Lakin Taylor led the group with a fourth-place finish in the 100 meters at 14.00 and a second-place finish in the 200 meters at 29.27. Taylor also placed second in the 400 meters with a 1:04.23, marking one of the strongest individual sprint series of the meet.
Keegan Hardgrave provided additional scoring with a fifth-place finish in the 400 meters (1:10.42) and a third-place finish in the 800 meters at 2:43.84. Jackie Tran contributed across multiple events with efforts in the 100, 200 and 400 meters.
