Fitness for the Whole Family

Families across Okmulgee County are invited to lace up their sneakers, bring their energy and get ready for a day packed with excitement as Healthy Kids Day returns to the YMCA this Saturday. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 18, the YMCA will transform into a hub of activity, learning and laughter-offering a completely free event for the entire community designed to keep kids active, engaged and inspired. This annual celebration has become a favorite for families, blending fitness, fun and education into one unforgettable experience. And this year, organizers are raising the stakes with an interactive raffle-every person who walks through the door will be entered for a chance to win a $100 gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods. The more activities participants try, the more chances they’ll have to win, with the drawing set for 1 p.m. From the moment families arrive, there will be something happening around every corner. Kids can dive into hands-on STEAM experiments, explore the outdoor Kids Zone, or enjoy interactive learning in the indoor Play & Learn area. Meanwhile, parents can browse community partner booths, discover local resources and take advantage of exclusive, in-person YMCA program discounts. Music and food trucks will keep the atmosphere lively, while free giveaways and door prizes add even more excitement throughout the day.
