According to the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association, there were 103 nominations for the 2019-2020 season. To be nominated, players had to have at least a minimum of 24 on the ACT.

McBride helped the Eagles to a 13-12 finish this past season. The Eagles also climbed up the ranks to the No. 17 spot.
The Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association also recognizes five players on the 2020 Super 5 Team Academic All-State, including Jared Cox, of Canton, who earned a 36; Preston Weaks, of Duncan, who earned a 35; Harrison Themer, of Kingfisher, who earned a 35; Luke Hamilton, of Pauls Valley, who earned a 34; and Guy Wood, of Crossings, who earned a 34.
