Muscogee (Creek) Nation Secretary of Education and Training Greg Anderson believes the event will be an opportunity for collaboration.
“The 2019 EDGE Conference will allow school districts to lay the groundwork to build and expand strong working relationships with tribal nations, while highlighting the excellent working already happening across our state,” Anderson said. “We are especially excited to share our 'Native EDGE' plan for tribal and school district partnerships with representatives from across the state. 'Native EDGE' marks a new and innovative standard for the possibilities of what can be achieved when tribal nations and school districts work together.”
Registration and breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. with the program following at 9 a.m.
The conference is offered at no cost to tribal employees, educators, school and district officials and members of education-based organizations.
