Rotary expands Christmas Giving Tree program

The Henryetta Rotary Club has officially launched its annual Christmas Giving Tree, renewing a cherished local tradition focused on bringing comfort and joy to residents of area nursing homes, senior citizens and others in need this holiday season. With a significant increase in the number of requests this year, the club is encouraging the community to step in and help make this effort a success.

Request stars for the Giving Tree are now available at several Henryetta locations:

• American Exchange Bank

• First Family Credit Union

• Patrons Bank

• Shoney’s Each star contains a personalized gift request from a local individual. Community members are invited to stop by, select a star, and purchase the identified gift. These items range from essential needs to small comforts that help brighten the holiday season for neighbors who may otherwise go without.

For those who prefer the ease of online shopping, the Henryetta Rotary has created an Amazon Gift List. It can be accessed by scanning the QR code on Rotary promotional materials or through the link shared in the comments of the club’s social media post. This allows supporters to choose a gift and send it directly, making participation simple and convenient.

The Christmas Giving Tree project has long been a meaningful tradition in Henryetta, offering a way for residents to ensure that local seniors and individuals in need feel remembered and cared for during the holidays. Through both in-person and online options, the Rotary aims to meet the elevated number of requests and continue strengthening community connections.

Anyone looking for additional details or instructions may contact Saylor Pence at 918-448-8474.

With the community’s involvement, the Henryetta Rotary hopes to fulfill every request on this year’s tree. Each star picked up and every gift purchased helps make the season brighter for someone in need, reflecting Henryetta’s longstanding commitment to compassion and neighborly support.
