GCTC set to celebrate LPN grads Dec. 16

Green Country Technology Center (GCTC) will host its Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Graduation Ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 16, honoring ten students who are preparing to complete the program and step into the healthcare workforce. The event will celebrate the commitment, sacrifice and resilience these future nurses have shown throughout their training.

The December LPN cohort includes Abrionna Fisher, Carrie Flute, Cheyenne Carpenter, Erika Raska, Hanna Dearman, Jesus Torres, Kaynen Powell, Madelyn Amador, Randi Nichols and Tamisen Balfour.

Throughout the program, students have completed extensive classroom instruction, hands-on lab work and demanding clinical rotations in real healthcare environments. Under the leadership of Instructor Ana Richardson, the cohort has demonstrated the discipline and compassion required to enter one of the most vital roles in patient care.

Mrs. Richardson shared her excitement as the class approaches this milestone.

“Watching these students grow into confident, capable caregivers has been one of the greatest joys of my career,” Richardson said. “They’ve pushed through long days, challenging skills, and emotional moments with heart and determination. I cannot wait to celebrate them on Dec. 16.”

GCTC Superintendent Roger King also praised the group for their commitment to serving others.

“This cohort reflects everything we stand for as a technology center,” King said. “Their dedication, resilience, and compassion will make a real impact in the communities they serve. We look forward to honoring their hard work and the promising careers ahead of them.”

The ceremony will recognize each student’s achievements, highlight their journey through the Practical Nursing Program and celebrate their transition into the healthcare profession. Family members, supporters, and community partners are encouraged to attend and join GCTC in recognizing the next generation of skilled nurses.

GCTC’s Practical Nursing Program continues to prepare students for high-demand healthcare careers by combining rigorous academics with real-world clinical experience. Graduates are equipped with the knowledge and confidence needed to pursue licensure and begin meaningful careers in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities and other healthcare settings.
