Henryetta is rolling out the black and gold carpet as Homecoming Week 2025 kicks into high gear, bringing together students, alumni, businesses and residents in a spirited celebration of Knight pride. With themed dress-up days at the high school, the 2nd Annual Main Street Storefront Contest and the highly anticipated Homecoming Community Block Party, the town is buzzing with anticipation for one of the biggest weeks of the year.
— Spirit Week Activities: A Daily Celebration of Knight Nation Students and staff at Henryetta High School are celebrating Homecoming with themed days that encourage creativity and school pride:
• Monday: Hawaiian Day – Students were encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts, leis, straw hats, and tropical attire to start the week off with a warm island vibe.
• Tuesday: Character Day – Everyone gets a chance to step into the shoes of their favorite fictional hero or villain, with costumes ranging from comic book icons to video game characters.
• Wednesday: Color Wars (Neon Edition) – Each class lights up the halls with a specific neon color: 9th grade – yellow, 10th grade – orange, 11th grade – green and 12th grade – pink
• Thursday: “Nighty Knight” (Pajama Day) – In a nod to the school’s mascot, students will wear their pajamas for a fun and cozy school day.
• Friday: Spirit Day – A sea of black and gold is expected as students, staff and community members wear school colors to show their Knight pride ahead of the big game and weekend festivities.
— Main Street Spirited Storefront Competition
Henryetta businesses are joining in on the Homecoming fun with the 2nd Annual Main Street Spirited Storefront Contest, designed to unite the community and celebrate the Knights in style.
Storefronts are judged on the following criteria (rated 1-10):
• Use of school colors
• Use of school branding (name, mascot, logos)
• Creativity and uniqueness
• Overall aesthetic A Facebook Community Choice Vote will also contribute 20% to the final score, based on the number of likes received on the Knight Vision contest post. Businesses are encouraged to complete their storefront designs by Sunday, Sept. 28, with live judging beginning that evening. Winners will be announced at the upcoming block party.
— Homecoming Community Block Party The entire community is invited to celebrate during the HHS Homecoming Community Block Party on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 6:30 p.m. The event will take place on Main Street between 4th and 5th Streets and promises to be an exciting night of family-friendly fun.
The block party will include:
• The announcement of storefront contest winners (1st-3rd place)
• Food vendors and local booths
• Live entertainment
• Knight-themed games and activities • Music and dancing in the streets Organizers are encouraging all residents to come dressed in their Knight gear to continue the celebration and support the students, teams, and organizations that make Henryetta a community worth cheering for.
— Friday Night Lights: Homecoming Game & Court The week culminates in Friday night’s Homecoming football game, where the Henryetta Knights will take the field in front of a packed crowd. Fans will enjoy: • Pregame festivities
• A halftime show featuring the Homecoming Court presentation
• The crowning of the 2025 Homecoming Queen
• Knight Brigade and cheer squad performances Alumni groups are expected to attend, reunions are being planned, and the stands will be filled with friends, family and Knight supporters.
