The Henryetta Knights Wrestling Club is set to host a high-impact “Skills and Drills Camp” June 23-24 at the Henryetta High School Basketball Gym, promising local wrestlers of all experience levels an invaluable opportunity to train with one of the sport’s most respected coaches - Coach John Kincade.
The Henryetta Knights Wrestling Club is set to host a high-impact “Skills and Drills Camp” June 23-24 at the Henryetta High School Basketball Gym, promising local wrestlers of all experience levels an invaluable opportunity to train with one of the sport’s most respected coaches - Coach John Kincade.
The two-day event will take place at 1800 Troy Aikman Drive on the north side of the Henryetta High School campus. The cost to participate is $60 per athlete.
Novice wrestlers will train from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., while open-level participants will take the mat from 1-3 p.m.
This year’s camp brings a special guest with a wealth of experience and a decorated career. Coach John Kincade, a former Oklahoma high school state champion and All-State wrestling coach, will be leading the sessions. With over 36 years of coaching experience, Coach Kincade’s presence in Henryetta is considered a major opportunity for aspiring wrestlers and their families.

Coach Kincade’s resume speaks volumes. He was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2015, a testament to his dedication, impact and coaching success over the decades. His career spans leadership roles at Henryetta (13 years), Jenks (6 years) and Greenwood, Arkansas (18 years). In 2012, he launched Greenwood’s wrestling program, which has since become a respected force in the sport.
Under his guidance, Greenwood has achieved:
• 3x Arkansas Dual State Championships • Dual State Runner-Up
• 2x State Wrestling Championships
• 2x Boys Academic State Champions
• 2x Girls Academic State Champions Coach Kincade has been named Arkansas Wrestling Association Coach of the Year twice, and also received coaching honors from both the National Wrestling Coaches Association and the Arkansas High School Coaches Association.
His success isn’t limited to the team level. Over his career, Coach Kincade has coached 27 individual state champions and two girls who placed at the state level. He has guided 96 state placers and mentored 72 All-State wrestlers, proving his consistent ability to develop talent and lead athletes to the highest levels of success.
