Todd Alan Shurden was born October 30, 1962, in Henryetta, and passed from this life on April 8, 2025, in rural Okfuskee County.
Todd was strong, hard-working and playful. He was an excellent athlete who played basketball and football at Henryetta High School. He was a proud pipeliner and member of the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 112. He was always eager to go out on the next job.
He loved riding horses and helping work cattle at the Shurden Ranch when he was not out on a job. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Todd was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret (Freeman) Viersen, and his grandparents, Estol and Clara Shurden.
He was the proud father and grandfather of one loving daughter, Stormy Shurden and fiancé Joel Harris of Beggs, and two grandsons, Joel Junior Harris and Julian Harris of October 30, 1962 – April 8, 2025
Beggs, who all survive him.
He is also survived by his father and stepmother, Frank and Kathryn Shurden of Henryetta; brother Mark Shurden of Morris; sisters Shelly Minahan of Euless, Texas, Susan Shurden of Morris, Winter Whitlock of Henryetta, Autumn McClain of Henryetta and Mandy Brumley of Henryetta; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home.
