The Wilson Lady Tigers softball team continues to show resilience and heart through a challenging early spring schedule. Despite a pair of narrow losses to the Earlsboro Lady Wildcats on March 13, the team has stayed competitive and committed to improvement.

In the first matchup against Earlsboro, both teams demonstrated strong pitching performances, but it was the Wildcats who edged out Wilson 3-0. Khloe Sanders took the circle for the Lady Tigers and went five innings, giving up five hits and three runs while issuing five walks. Despite the loss, Wilson’s defense was flawless, not committing a single error. Macy Dobson led the offense with two hits in three at-bats, while Jamie Proctor was sharp in the field with four defensive plays.

Game two saw another tight battle, with Earlsboro once again managing to do just enough offensively in a 2-0 win. The Wildcats took advantage of a single and a Lady Tigers error in the first inning to notch their only runs. Jamie Proctor and Kaylee Earhart each recorded a hit for Wilson in the game.

The Lady Tigers have since continued to compete hard, facing Weleetka and Okemah in recent games. On March 24, Wilson traveled to Weleetka and fell in a high-scoring contest, 21-12. The following day, the team split a doubleheader with Okemah, narrowly losing the first game 9-8 before bouncing back with an 8-5 victory in the second.

The Tigers have dropped their first three games, falling to Paden, Stonewall and Varnum – the latter ranked 17 in Class B. Despite the losses, the Tigers are staying focused and looking ahead to a busy stretch of games.
