Okmulgee track shines at Rock Creek Invitational

The Okmulgee High School track & field teams showcased their talent at the Rock Creek Invitational (Sulphur) held on March 10. Despite facing tough competition from various schools, Okmulgee athletes delivered notable performances across multiple events.

The Okmulgee High School track & field teams showcased their talent at the Rock Creek Invitational (Sulphur) held on March 10. Despite facing tough competition from various schools, Okmulgee athletes delivered notable performances across multiple events.

Several schools participated, including Tuttle, Putnam City, Dickson, Okmulgee, Christian Heritage, Sulphur, Shawnee, Plainview, Bethany, Byng, McLoud, Douglass, Capitol Hill and Santa Fe South Pathways.

--- Girls Events

• 4x100 Relay: The Okmulgee girls team finished 4th in the 4x100 Relay with a time of 53.25, earning 8 points for their team.

• 4x200 Relay: The Okmulgee girls team placed 1st in the 4x200 Relay with a time of 1:52.56, earning 20 points for their team.

• Girls Long Jump: Destiny Monteque, from Okmulgee, secured 2nd place with a jump of 14-10.25, earning

8 points.

• Girls 300m Hurdles: Kyndal Smith, from Okmulgee, finished 3rd with a time of 28.88, earning 6 points. Madi Stacy finished with a time of 34.18.

• Girls 400 Meters: Madi Stacy finished with a time of 16.38.

--- Boys Events

• 4x100 Relay: The Okmulgee boys team finished 5th in the 4x100 Relay with a time of 45.90, earning 4 points.

• 4x200 Relay: The Okmulgee boys team finished 3rd in the 4x200 Relay with a time of 1:33.37, earning 12 points.

• Boys 300m Hurdles: Larry Yahola from Okmulgee, finished 3rd with a time of 54.51, earning 6 points.

• Boys 400 Meters: Marcus Jeffrey Jr finished with a time of 48.75.

• Boys 100 Meters: Javin Hutchinson finished with a time of 12.69. Butler, Kingston, finished with a time of 13.18. Isaac Brand finished with a time of 13.91.

• Boys 200 Meters: Keonte Youngblood finished with a time of 25.08. --- Girls Standings 1. Bethany: 95
