Lady Dragons dominate McCurtain
By DARRELL FROST SPORTS WRITER,

The Dewar Lady Dragons delivered a commanding performance on the field, overpowering the McCurtain Lady Bulldogs with a 22-2 victory. Led by the stellar hitting of Tempe Parker and Emmy Hall, Dewar’s offensive onslaught left Mc-Curtain strugg ling to keep up.

From the outset, the Lady Dragons asserted their dominance. The scoring started in the second inning when Korbyn Anderson ripped a sharp single to bring in the first run. Raygin Thomas followed with a clutch hit that drove in two more, and Kinsey Maldonado delivered a massive double to clear the bases, driving in three runs. Emmy Hall capped off the inning with an RBI single, giving Dewar a commanding 7-0 lead.

In the third inning, Tempe Parker stole the show with an insidethe- park home run, bringing the Dewar dugout to its feet in celebration.

The fourth inning proved to be the most explosive of the game, with Dewar scoring an astounding 14 runs. Emmy Hall got things started with an RBI single, followed by Emma Bear’s run-scoring double. Alyssa Baughman added to the rally with a tworun double before Parker drove in another run with a single. Kyla Bear contributed with a fielder’s choice that plated yet another run. Cali Thomason kept the momentum going with a two-run double, and Emmy Hall struck again with another two-run single. Emma Bear and Baughman each added RBI hits, bringing the scoring frenzy to a close. Korbyn Anderson, Kinsey Maldonado, Raygin Thomas and Emma Bear each had multiple-hit performances.

Cali Thomason led the charge in the circle, pitching four solid innings while allowing just two runs on eight hits. She maintained control with no walks and kept the McCurtain hitters off balance. Dewar’s defense was spotless, completing a double play and committing zero errors.
