Okmulgee Chamber to hold Spring Craft Show April 20
By PATRICK FORD NEWS EDITOR,

The eagerly anticipated Okmulgee Chamber of Commerce Spring Craft Show is scheduled for April 20, at a new location.

The eagerly anticipated Okmulgee Chamber of Commerce Spring Craft Show is scheduled for April 20, at a new location.

This year’s show will move to the Okmulgee County Fairgrounds, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event promises to be a vibrant showcase of local craftsmanship, featuring artisans specializing in various mediums, including woodworking, jewelry making, quilting, crochet, homemade soaps, lip balms and more.

As the coordinator of the craft show, Kelly Baehler outlined the meticulous planning underway to ensure its success.

The participants will be both inside the main Exhibit Hall, along with the Commissioner’s Building, and space is available outside for others who wish to do so.

“There are still openings for outdoor booths,” Baehler said, but inside space is getting pretty full.

From vendor selections to logistical arrangements, every detail is being carefully curated to provide attendees with a memorable experience. The event will also feature door prizes and a variety of refreshments, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Baehler extends an invitation to local artisans interested in participating in the craft show, emphasizing the importance of contacting her directly to secure a spot. This event, according to Baehler, will showcase not only the finest local talent, but also those unique items.

There is a cost to be vendor at the craft show, though entry for the public to visit the different participants is completely free.

Several organizations, including 4-H and Lions Club, will be manning the food concessions.

“We’re gonna have door prizes every 30 minutes… throughout the day,” she added. “And then there’ll be two big prizes at the end of the day - one for the crafters and one for attendees. But the attendees do not have to be present.”

Vendors must remain during the entire time of the event. Setup will April 19, from 7-9 p.m.

Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing with the public some of the unique items that will be featured during the show.

For more information or to become a vendor, text name and address, along with your crafts to 918-346-3954.
