OCEM Report

• Monday: Attended BOCC Meeting. Contacted the town of Stuart regarding water issues. Water has been restored and the town was under boil order. Phone call with the State of Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management. Phone call with National Weather Service Tulsa Office regarding 2024 Okmulgee County Skywarn Storm Spotter Training. Reviewed documents in office from previous disasters for closeout.

• Tuesday: Picked up one water buffalo from District 1 barn and transported it to office for sanitizing. Went to Buchannan Rd. & N. 260 Rd. with drone to fly over area to observe area developments for flooding issues. Spoke with resident at office regarding floodplain permit District 3. Went to Stuart and picked up water buffalo and transported it to office for sanitizing.

Wednesday: Began process of sanitizing two water buffalos at office. Tested LED Light tower at District 2. Monthly full power loss test of generator at Emergency Operations Center, functions were normal. Spoke with resident in District 1 regarding their property that is located in the floodplain and their future building of a home. Update Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management with updates in Okmulgee County. Contacted by OCCJA regarding water outage in the City of Okmulgee that affected jail. Spoke with city officials as well as fire department for water to fill OCCJA water buffalo and also secured second (backup) location for water if needed. Contacted by city of Morris regarding water issue in Okmulgee advised them of situation and that if there would be a prolonged outage we would provide a water buffalo and plans were in place.

• Thursday: Completed sanitization process of two water buffaloes at office. Worked on updates to water buffalo deployment policy as well as began analyzing statistical data and population density of Okmulgee County. Contact Wylie Water Trailers for information about water buffalo. Contacted Hyperreach Mass Notification System for quote. Followed up with OMNI Warn regarding Outdoor Warning Sirens. Phone call with Eric Williams with Oklahoma Department of Labor. Spoke with Green County Technology Center regarding 2024 Okmulgee County Skywarn Storm Spotter training and request and facility usage for Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management Training class for Emergency Managers that will be in Okmulgee on March 12. Responded to rollover accident on Hwy 62 West of Henryetta involving a trash truck. Assisted Henryetta FD, Plainview FD, Henryetta PD and OHP. Volunteers assisted in going through documents at office and some cleaning.

• Friday: Worked at office on correcting inventory. Registered for 2024 Oklahoma Emergency Management Conference. Worked on various projects including reviewing Emergency Management Plan, Severe Weather plan. Reviewed weekly reports and weekend weather. Friday evening received phone calls from Hectorville area regarding natural gas leak. Called ONG to determine outage information. ONG had 16 vehicles in area for several hours after gas line was ruptured by homeowner. No emergency services had been notified. At 11:24 p.m., a 5.1 Earthquake near Prague occurred and was felt over entire Okmulgee County area. No damage reported.
