An Okmulgee woman was jailed on several complaints, including assault and battery, following an incident at a local convenience store.
An Okmulgee woman was jailed on several complaints, including assault and battery, following an incident at a local convenience store.
According to court records, around 4:34 a.m., the Okmulgee police was dispatched to Love’s for report of a possibly robbery.
Before arriving at the scene, law enforcement was advised the female suspect had left the store on foot. In addition, the suspect allegedly pulled a knife on one of the store clerks, when asked to leave the store after she was seen taking items.
Officers were able to locate the female, identified as 29-year-old Taylor Menen Henry, near Chicago and Comanche Streets, several blocks away.
The court document stated that the female had a knife on her which matched the description by the store clerk.
Also found were items from the store in the backpack she was carrying.
Henry was taken into custody and transport ed to the county jail. She is being held on complaints of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Larceny of Merchandise from Retailer and Robbery by Force or Fear. Total bond is $26,000.
The subject is due in Okmulgee County District Court on April 5 for an initial appearance.
