The Bread House in Henryetta provided a meal to local veterans on Nov. 9 in honor of Veteran’s Day. A menu of fried chicken, stuffing, green beans, rolls, hummingbird cake and refreshments were enjoyed by those in attendance. In addition to the meal, a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to the Roadhouse Steakhouse was held and won by veteran Mike Stevens. Assisting Bread House owners Mark and Kim Collins with the meal was local veteran Tricia Bear. All veterans in attendance enjoyed the meal and gave thanks to the Collins. “We want to be able to serve everyone and provide the ‘bread of life,’” Kim Collins said. PHOTO BY SCOTT DELK
