Beggs gears up for Frontier Day Festival

Get ready for a day packed with small-town charm, laughter and a whole lot of frontier-style fun, as the Beggs Community Foundation prepares to host the 2026 Beggs Frontier Day Festival on Saturday, June 13.

After months of planning, organizers are inviting residents and visitors alike to come out and experience a lively celebration that promises something for all ages – from high-energy races to family-friendly activities and live entertainment.

“This is shaping up to be one of the most exciting Frontier Days yet,” organizers shared. “We’ve got a great lineup planned, but we need the community to jump in and help make it truly special.”

— A Full Day of Fun

The festival kicks off bright and early at 8 a.m. with the inaugural Frontier Day 5K Stampede at Legacy Park, giving runners and walkers a chance to start the day on an active note.

Festivities officially begin at 9 a.m. on Main Street with opening ceremonies, followed by a variety of attractions throughout the morning and afternoon, including: • Craft vendors lining Main Street

• A 50/50 raffle

• A Pet Costume Contest and Parade sure to bring smiles and creativity • Live bluegrass music in the KC Courtyard

• Face painting and a community paint project

• A plant booth for gardening enthusiasts One of the most anticipated highlights returns at noon – the always entertaining Outhouse Race, where teams race creatively designed “outhouses” in a crowd-favorite showdown that blends humor, teamwork and a little bit of friendly competition.

The day wraps up with awards and closing ceremonies at 12:30 p.m.

Organized by the Beggs Community Foundation, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit, Frontier Day is designed to bring the community together while celebrating the town’s heritage and spirit.

But organizers emphasize that the event’s success depends heavily on community involvement.

“We need participants, volunteers and supporters to help bring this vision to life,” organizers said. “Whether you’re racing, running, selling or just cheering – there’s a place for everyone.”

— Get Involved

There are several ways to take part in the festivities: • Volunteers are encouraged to sign up and help make the day run smoothly.

• Vendors can reserve space to showcase crafts, goods and food.

• Teams can register for the Outhouse Race.

• Runners can sign up for the Beggs Stampede 5K.

• Pet owners can enter their furry friends in the Pet Parade and Costume Contest.

• Local businesses can also participate as event sponsors.

With food trucks, live music, games and a packed schedule of activities, the 2026 Beggs Frontier Day Festival promises to deliver a fun-filled day rooted in community pride.

Whether you’re racing down Main Street in a homemade outhouse, cheering on runners, browsing vendor booths or simply enjoying the music and atmosphere, Frontier Day is shaping up to be a can’t-miss event in Beggs.

So mark your calendars, gather your friends and family and get ready to celebrate – frontier style.
