Every June and October, Henryetta Main Street plays host to a custom hot-rod show.
Local residents cruise up and down Main Street in their innovative and sometimes legendary rides. Businesses set up on the sidewalk greeting passersby with tempting food and drinks.
As light falls, you can hear the sounds of rubber screeching and engines revving as country music plays in the background from a live band. Saturday’s event also fea
Saturday’s event also featured a local crafts fair with some talented artists selling anything from engraved kitchen-ware to essential oils.
Some of the booths admitted this was their first time selling to the public.
Most sell their wares on Facebook, but were excited to be out and talking to people, providing more information about their products.
“Cruise Knight is a great way for local businesses to get the word out about their products and services and get one-on-one time with customers,” a representative from Ryan’s Delivery said. “It’s free advertising, you can’t get any closer than that.”
Fall Cruise Knight received less attendance than it has in the past, according to Henryetta Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Roy Madden.
Some say it was due to the cold and rainy weather while others have varying opinions.
Those attending still had a great time while enjoying food, cruising and visiting vendor and fundraiser booths.
