Lady Knights overcome Okmulgee in opener
Henryetta junior Avery Miller delivered the first shutout victory of the season for the Lady Knights Monday at home against the Lady Bulldogs. It took three innings and a nine-run streak to end the game for the Lady Bulldogs, who couldn’t connect with the ball. Miller pitched two innings before Shannon Corkerin stepped into the circle the third inning. The junior pitcher was unstoppable only delivering 22 pitches and earning five strikeouts for the Lady Knights. Corkerin also had a solid night with three strikeouts in just one inning.
