Okmulgee County little league teams are heading back to the field under guidelines to protect attendees, players and coaching staff from the spread of COVID-19. OK Kids Baseball Association, which has affiliated teams throughout the county, released guidelines for this year’s season, promoting social distancing measures and additional sanitation protocols. Beggs, Preston, Dewar, Morris and Henryetta’s little league associations will be hosting games throughout June and July. According to OK Kids, playoffs were rescheduled for Friday, July 3, allowing for a four-week season. After qualifiers are reported to Ok Kids, little league teams will head into playoffs with tournament assignments and brackets released no later than Thursday, July 9.
