Henryetta Board of Education heard a presentation on Tuesday evening from entegrity Energy regarding the upgrade and replacement of current lighting throughout main buildings on campus with more cost-effective LED lighting. The company will evaluate, manage and monitor the project with no up-front fees. “Updating to LED lighting will save the school a tremendous amount on energy costs,” Harold Fox, Henryetta Public Schools Maintenance Director, said. “Currently, there are 27 fluorescent fixtures in each classroom that are costly to replace. The LED lighting will offer much lower wattages with an extended life.”
After a question and answer session, school board members thanked entegrity Energy representatives for the presentation.
James Williams asked Fox and Superintendent Dwayne Noble to obtain quotes and more information from other companies regarding LED lighting.
Board members decided on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 12 p.m. as the date to discuss the sale of $70,000 in Transportation Equipment Bonds.
David Bullard was appointed as acting president of the school district in the absence of James Williams to execute any documents pertaining to setting maturities, dates, times and places of the bond sale. Pam Bealko was appointed as acting clerk.
A new mock trial club fundraiser organized by Coach Turner was approved by all board members.
Henryetta School Board members in attendance were James Williams, David Bullard, Brandi Brown, Pam Bealko and Misty Sweeney. Rick Enis recorded minutes of the meeting.
