OSUIT will host its annual High Voltage Rodeo this Saturday, April 4, bringing together approximately 50 students from OSUIT’s High Voltage Program and OSU-OKC’s Line Technician Program. This friendly, hands-on competition showcases the essential skills high voltage linemen use to safely maintain power poles and restore power.
Held in OSUIT’s Pole Yard, the event offers spectators a unique opportunity to see the next generation of lineworkers in action through real-world challenges such as speed climbing, head-to-head poletop rescue and pole cross arm changeouts.
Please note this event is held outdoors and is weather dependent. It may be postponed in the event of inclement weather for the safety of students.
