Residents of Henryetta will soon have an opportunity to roll up their sleeves and make a visible difference in their community at Henryetta’s Citywide Cleanup event the weekend of April 17-18.
City officials announced that dumpsters will be available for residents to dispose of unwanted items during the two-day effort, aimed at helping citizens declutter properties and enhance the overall ap- pearance of neighborhoods across the city.
The clean-up will take place at the Public Works garage, with hours set for Friday, April 17, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, April 18, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
This service is available exclusively to Henryetta residents, and participants will be required to show proof of residency, such as a water bill or other valid documentation, before using the dumpsters.
City leaders encourage residents to take advantage of this free opportunity to dispose of household debris and help keep Henryetta clean and inviting. However, officials remind participants that certain items will not be accepted. Prohibited materials include batteries, limbs and brush, tires and paint or other liquids.
In addition, residents will be limited to two trips to the dump site, allowing as many households as possible to benefit from the service.
The Citywide Cleanup is part of an ongoing effort to promote community pride and maintain a safe, attractive environment for all who live and work in Henryetta. By working together, residents can make a meaningful impact – one load at a time. For more information, residents may contact City Hall at 918-652-3348.
