A staple of the community for generations, Holleman Iron & Metal is once again reminding residents that their aluminum cans can make a difference – both environmentally and financially.
Located at the corner of 2nd and Oklahoma Streets, the longtime local business is currently paying 60 cents per pound for aluminum cans, and according to staff, business has been steady as more people take advantage of the opportunity.
Holleman Iron & Metal has a rich history rooted in service and sustainability. Operating since 1936, the company has recycled more than 500,000 tons of oilfield scrap over the decades, while also playing a role in cleaning up countless acres of farmland across the region. Their work has long centered on restoring and repurposing materials that might otherwise go to waste.
The business, which has been veteran- owned since World War II, continues to uphold its mission of recycling and environmental stewardship – values that have been passed down through generations.
Today, that mission includes everyday items like aluminum cans, offering residents a simple way to contribute while earning a little extra money in the process.
