On this month’s Guardian of Service Podcast, I interviewed Kosha Lindley and Lisa Watson from the non-profit organizations Hopefor22aday and the Battlin Betties. Kosha is the founder and CEO of Hopefor22aday and Lisa Watson from Henryetta is the World’s Miss Route 66 Tourism. Also, they are both members of the Battlin Betties. The organization Hopefor22aday takes its name from the sobering statistic that an estimated 22 veterans a day die by suicide, a number many believe may be even higher. But the name is not only rooted in loss. It reflects a belief that hope, community engagement, and intentional action can help change that number.
