Hazel Yvonne Saunders was born on October 4, 1924, to John Barney Lockhart and Cora Runyan Lockhart, on her daddy’s birthday at Middle Creek, a small community south of Dustin. She passed away on March 10, 2026, in Eufaula.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home.
