Lions host community blood drive

Lions host community blood drive

The Henryetta Lions Club is calling on the community to roll up their sleeves and help save lives during an upcoming community blood drive held in honor of a fellow Henryettan.

The drive is being organized to support David Howard Henderson, with donors asked to credit their donations in his name. Organizers say each donation not only helps replenish critical blood supplies but also offers direct encouragement and support to a member of the local community.

Under the Lions Club’s long-standing motto, “We Serve,” the effort reflects the organization’s continued commitment to meeting needs close to home.

When donating at any of the listed locations, participants are asked to say: “Credit my donation to David Howard Henderson.”

Community members may donate at any of the following blood drive sites:

• Hillcrest Hospital (Henryetta) – March 6, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

• Okmulgee High School – March 10, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

• Muscogee Nation Casino (Eufaula) March 13, 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

• Duck Creek Casino March 13, 12-4:30 p.m.

• Muscogee Nation Casino (Checotah) March 13, 12-4:30 p.m.

• Checotah Walmart March 16, 12-5 p.m.

Organizers emphasize that blood donations are always in demand and can make a life-saving difference for patients facing surgeries, medical treatments, trauma care and other emergencies.

The Henryetta Lions Club encourages residents throughout Henryetta and surrounding communities to participate, support a neighbor and strengthen the local blood supply.
