Frank Alan Burzio, 82, of Hendersonville, N.C. passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at Margaret R. Pardee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Okmulgee, Frank was the son of Elmer Tippie and Elizabeth Burzio Tippie, both of whom preceded him in death.
Frank studied music at Oklahoma City University and later moved to New York City to pursue his passion for opera. He enjoyed a distinguished career as an operatic tenor and was a member of the New York City Opera for 36 years.
He is survived by his wife, Beth Pensiero; daughter Claire Slater and husband Patrick; son Joel Tippie and wife Alisa; brother David Tippie; and two grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shuler Funeral Home of Hendersonville, N.C.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
