Girl Scouts across Eastern Oklahoma are officially kicking off the 2026 Girl Scout Cookie season, inviting the community to support the world’s largest girl-led entrepreneurial program – one box at a time. The annual cookie drive, a long-standing tradition that blends leadership, learning and community involvement, returns this year with an exciting new addition to the iconic lineup: Exploremores.
Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma (GSEOK) announced the start of the season as Girl Scouts from kindergarten through high school begin setting goals, managing sales and connecting with customers throughout their communities.
“As we kick off this year’s Girl Scout Cookie season, we’re thrilled to invite our community to support the incredible girls behind every box,” said Melissa Bogle, CEO of Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma. “With every box of Girl Scout cookies you buy, you’re helping girls build confidence, learn real-world skills, and providing them with funds to support their adventures – whether it’s a troop outing, attending camp, or even building a robot.” — A New Cookie Inspired by Exploration Headlining the 2026 season is Exploremores, a rocky road ice-cream-inspired sandwich cookie that reflects the adventurous spirit at the heart of Girl Scouting. The new cookie features layers of chocolate, marshmallow and toasted almond-flavored crème, offering a fresh twist while staying true to the brand’s tradition of crowd-pleasing flavors.
Exploremores joins a legendary lineup that includes longtime fan favorites such as Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs and more – cookies that have become a seasonal staple in households across Oklahoma and beyond.
— More Than Cookies: Building Life Skills The Girl Scout Cookie Program is far more than a fundraiser. It is a hands-on entrepreneurial experience that teaches Girl Scouts essential life skills including goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.
From a kindergartener marveling at sea life during a troop field trip to a middle school Girl Scout finding the courage to attend her first overnight camp, cookie proceeds help fund experiences that spark curiosity and confidence. Revenue from cookie sales stays local, directly supporting troops and councils by funding service projects, troop travel, leadership programs and summer camp opportunities.
Each season, Girl Scouts learn that the road to discovery begins with exploration – of new ideas, new skills and their own potential.
