Despite the final margin, Morris showed flashes of promise throughout the game, with multiple players finding the scoring column and the Lady Eagles continuing to work through early-season adjustments against tournament competition.
Red Oak established control early, building a double-digit lead in the first quarter and steadily extending it as the game progressed. Morris continued to battle on both ends of the floor, but Red Oak’s depth and tempo proved difficult to overcome.
Morris’ strongest offensive stretch came in the opening quarter, where the Lady Eagles kept pace early before Red Oak pulled away late in the period. The Lady Eagles added seven more points in the second quarter and continued to compete through the second half, adding nine points after halftime.

The Lady Tigers held a slim 13-10 edge after the first quarter, before Morris settled in defensively to stay within reach at the break. Wewoka carried a 26-18 lead into halftime, but the Lady Eagles remained within striking distance following a strong stretch of inside scoring.
Wewoka took control in the third quarter, outscoring Morris 17-16, then sealed the win by limiting the Lady Eagles to just six points in the final period while adding 11 of their own.
Despite the loss, Morris received solid production from multiple players, with several freshmen and underclassmen continuing to log meaningful varsity minutes against tournament competition.

Wewoka also received six additional points from team contributions recorded in the book.
The Lady Eagles continued tournament play later in the week, using the experience against quality opponents to build depth and confidence as the season moves forward.
