Dewar High School has announced the names of students who have been accepted for induction into the National Honor Society, one of the nation’s most respected academic organizations recognizing excellence in scholarship, leadership, service and character.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 29, at 6 p.m., with the location to be announced.
Students selected for membership represent the highest standards of academic achievement and personal responsibility. Selection into the National Honor Society is based on a comprehensive review of a student’s academic record, as well as demonstrated leadership abilities, service to school and community and strong moral character.

• Elijah Stoney Yaerger Membership in the National Honor Society is considered a significant academic milestone, often opening doors to scholarships, leadership opportunities and continued service involvement throughout high school and beyond.
