The Dewar Dragons middle school archery team delivered an impressive performance last week, turning in a day full of personal bests and strong finishes at the tournament hosted in Shady Point.
Competing against hundreds of archers from across the region, Dewar’s young Dragons showed steady improvement, focus and composure on the range. Nearly every competitor recorded a personal-best score, highlighting the team’s growth as the season continues.
Seventh-grader Lane Hankins led the way for Dewar with a score of 266, earning third place among seventh- grade boys and finishing 13th overall out of 175 middle school boys. His performance stood out as one of the top showings of the entire event.
