GCTC opens pre-enrollment for 2026-27

GCTC opens pre-enrollment for 2026-27

Green Country Technology Center (GCTC) is officially opening pre-enrollment for the 2026-27 school year, giving students the opportunity to secure their place in some of Oklahoma’s most in-demand career training programs. Pre-enrollment is open now through Feb. 27, and students are encouraged to act early, as many programs fill quickly. With industries across Oklahoma facing an urgent need for skilled workers, GCTC continues to lead the region in preparing students for real careers – not just diplomas. GCTC’s hands-on, industry-aligned training equips students with certifications, technical skills and real-world experience that translate directly into the workforce.

“Pre-enrollment isn’t just a sign-up – it’s a head start,” said Anthony Nieto, Marketing and Communications Coordinator at GCTC. “Students who take advantage of this window are positioning themselves for stronger outcomes, better career readiness, and access to programs that lead to high wage, high-demand careers.”

Programs open for pre-enrollment include:

• CNC Machine Operator

• Combination Welder

• Construction Trades

• Cosmetology

• HVAC/R Technician

• Health Careers Certification

• Medical Assisting

• Software & Video Game Development Each program is designed with direct input from industry partners to ensure students graduate with skills employers are actively seeking. GCTC graduates consistently enter the workforce with certifications, job-ready training, and a competitive advantage in hiring.

— Why Pre-Enroll Now?

Pre-enrollment allows students to reserve a seat early in high-demand programs before general enrollment opens. Many GCTC programs reach capacity every year – and once seats are filled, additional students must wait until the next enrollment cycle.

In addition to securing placement, early pre-enrollment gives students and families time to explore program pathways, prepare documentation, complete entrance requirements and receive guidance on next steps.

For post-secondary applicants, an entrance exam is required, making early action even more important.

— Preparing Students for Oklahoma’s Workforce

GCTC’s mission is rooted in building a skilled workforce by providing training that meets real labor market demands. From healthcare and construction to manufacturing, technology, and skilled trades, GCTC programs directly align with regional employer needs.

Graduates leave with more than technical knowledge – they gain professional confidence, hands-on experience, industry certifications and the ability to step into careers that offer stability, growth and long-term earning potential.

“Green Country Technology Center is a launchpad for futures,” Nieto added. “We are proud to provide students with real skills that translate into real jobs.”
