Seven truckloads of bicycles and a cargo van full of toys were delivered Friday afternoon to Okmulgee DHS, as the 10th Annual Harlan Ford Toy Drive wrapped up another successful holiday season. The delivery caravan was escorted through downtown by the Okmulgee Police Department, highlighting the strong partnership between law enforcement, DHS, Harlan Ford and the community. Volunteers and staff members from numerous local businesses and organizations came together to unload the donations, which were made possible through weeks of giving by area residents. Organizers extended heartfelt thanks to the many businesses, churches, civic groups and individuals who served as drop-off locations and supporters, helping ensure children across Okmulgee County will experience the joy of Christmas morning.
