November 11, 1939 – December 15, 2025

James Tate, age 86, a resident of Beggs, died Monday, December 15, 2025, in his home surrounded by family. He was born November 11, 1939, to Ed and Tena Tate in Beggs.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2026, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church South in Beggs, with Elder Oscar Higgs III delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 1-4 p.m. at the House of Winn Funeral Home in Okmulgee. The family has been cared for by House of Winn – Okmulgee.
