The Henryetta Lions Club welcomed a special guest during its Nov. 20 meeting, as Lion of the Day Amber Mordecai introduced Genny Mooney, Director of the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce. Mooney shared exciting updates on the fast-approaching Mistletoe Market, one of the community’s most anticipated holiday traditions.
Set to open Dec. 5, the Mistletoe Market will run across three weekends, offering festive shopping, family- friendly activities and special appearances throughout the season. Market hours will be Fridays from 5-9 p.m., Saturdays all day and Sundays from 1-5 p.m.
Mooney told the Lions that 11 building vendors have already secured their spots this year, with additional table vendors rotating each night and weekend, ensuring a fresh experience for repeat visitors. Professional photographers will also be onsite to capture holiday memories.
She explained that the market was created to give local businesses without a traditional storefront a place to shine during the holiday season. “It’s important that every vendor has an opportunity to be seen and supported,” Mooney shared. To enhance the experience, each vendor will host a special activity or event on select days. A full schedule will be posted soon on the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
Mooney also highlighted key holiday events connected to the Market. The Henryetta Christmas Parade will take place on Dec. 13, and immediately afterward, the Grinch and Santa will make appearances at Mistletoe Market. The Americas Guardians Motorcycle Club (AGMC) will also be onsite that evening, collecting toys for their annual Christmas toy drive.
All Mistletoe Market activities will take place at the southeast corner of 5th and Trudgeon, where the event has grown into a lively seasonal destination.
Mooney noted that sponsorship opportunities are still available, inviting community partners to help make this year’s celebration even more magical.
The Lions thanked Mooney for the informative update and for the Chamber’s efforts to bring festive cheer and economic opportunity to Henryetta this holiday season.
