The Dewar Dragons delivered another powerful statement on Thursday night, blanking the Canadian Cougars 52-0 in a one-sided affair that underscored their championship-caliber play. The victory marked Dewar’s third win in their last four games, improving their season record to 5-2.
The Dragons’ defense was near flawless, shutting down Canadian’s offense from start to finish. Meanwhile, the offense remained explosive, piling up points with efficiency and confidence. This game continued Dewar’s long-running dominance over Canadian, as the Cougars have now lost six straight meetings to the Dragons.
Dewar will return to Dragon Stadium this Friday at 7 p.m. for another inter-district showdown-this time against Quinton. Both the Dragons and the Savages have been stingy on defense this season (Dewar allowing just 13.7 points per game, Quinton 10.7), setting up what could be one of the toughest defensive battles of the year.
See Friday’s edition for details of last week’s game.
