Hillcrest Henryetta has announced a change in leadership, welcoming Jonathan Schell as its new Chief Executive Officer. Schell, who currently serves as CEO of Hillcrest Cushing, will now lead both facilities concurrently, bringing with him a strong record of leadership and a deep commitment to advancing quality healthcare in Oklahoma communities.

Schell has been widely recognized for his effective leadership at Hillcrest Cushing, where he helped guide the hospital to its sixth consecutive placement on Modern Healthcare’s “Best Places to Work” list. He joined Hillcrest Cushing in 2023 after serving as case management and cardiovascular service line director at Hillcrest South, where he gained valuable insight into patient care and hospital operations.

Schell succeeds Eric Eaton, who has accepted a new leadership role within the Hillcrest HealthCare System. Eaton began his Hillcrest career in 2014 at Hillcrest Claremore and went on to serve as CEO of Hillcrest Henryetta for the past two years. During his tenure, Eaton earned high praise for his steady leadership and was recognized in 2025 as the Ardent Health CEO of the Year.
