The 2025 Holdenville Blue and Gold Cross Country Meet brought together student-athletes from across Oklahoma. Representing Okmulgee County, runners from Henryetta, Dewar and Preston delivered standout performances across multiple divisions- elementary, junior high and high school. — Henryetta girls capture 3rd overall
Henryetta’s varsity girls turned in a strong team showing, capturing third place overall with a team score of 67, behind only Sulphur (30) and Kingston (51).
• Stormi Waquie led the Lady Knights with a 4th place finish at 13:30.47.
• Camrynn Watkins followed closely in 7th place at 14:08.76.
• Peyton Wind (19th, 15:25.11), Peyton Bailey (21st, 15:31.73) and Ashlynn Fulton (32nd, 16:30.48) rounded out the scoring.
• Annika Kramer and Olivia Owen also competed, placing 43rd and 34th respectively.
— Henryetta boys finish 7th
In the boys’ 5K race, Henryetta placed seventh overall out of ten scoring teams, totaling 159 points.
• Cadyn Gillispie led the Knights with a 14th place finish at 17:25.40.
• He was supported by Jeffery Webster (31st, 18:41.37), Nick Vang (49th, 20:36.62), Luke Harlan (68th, 23:09.49) and Trent Tyler (70th, 23:26.73).
— Dewar runners have strong outing
Though Dewar did not have complete teams competing, individual athletes still made their presence known.
• Parks Coble clocked in at 17:15.12, securing 11th place overall – a remarkable performance among a field of over 80 runners.
• Remy Martin (21st, 17:49.42) and Vinton Goff (42nd, 20:04.66) also had strong showings.
• Paidan Farrow finished 55th in the girls 2-mile run with a time of 18:35.24.
• Adelynn Delso came through in 59th place at 20:43.26.
— HMS athletes deliver
• In the Junior High Girls 1600-meter run, Keegan Hardgrave finished 2nd overall with a blistering time of 6:29.60, keeping pace with Kingston’s Brinlee Roberts who won with 6:28.55.
• Dixie Hedrick placed 32nd in 7:40.57, and Sophie Proctor (72nd) and Bonnie Gooden (81st) also competed.
• For the Junior High Boys, Grayson Gillispie took 7th in 6:07.19, followed closely by Easton Sneed (10th, 6:16.18) and Landon Chamberlain (15th, 6:31.95).
• Waylon Shrum, Bentley Webster and Kozy Harjo helped Henryetta finish fifth as a team with 102 points.
— Henryetta Elementary girls place 2nd
Henryetta Elementary’s young runners nearly claimed the team title, placing second overall with 39 points, just behind Bristow (32).
• Greer Blake finished 2nd in 6:46.95.
• Teammates Darla Hedrick (3rd, 7:02.27), Blaike Gillispie (10th, 7:35.77), Mary Morgan (13th, 8:03.16) and Chamber Elkins (14th, 8:10.47) rounded out the scoring five.
• Marlow Henry and Wren Blake also contributed with finishes of 27th and 41st, respectively.
— Preston Elementary emerges with podium finish In the elementary girls’ 1600-meter race, Preston’s Mary McClenathan delivered a stellar performance, crossing the line in 7:16.47 to earn 7th place overall out of a highly competitive field. Though the team did not register a full five-runner squad for scoring, McClenathan’s top-10 finish was a notable individual achievement.
