The City of Henryetta will officially recognize Oct. 4, 2025, as “Dr. Jim Hess Day” in honor of one of its most distinguished alumni, Dr. Jim D. Hess, Ed.D., who was recently named the 20th President of Oklahoma State University. The announcement follows a heartfelt request submitted by the Henryetta High School Class of 1975, Hess’s graduating class, and a formal proclamation signed by Mayor Michael Dickey.
