The Beggs JH Lady Demons refused to back down Thursday night, pushing Kellyville to the limit in a tight 3-2 battle that wasn’t decided until the final innings. Every pitch, every swing and every steal showed the Lady Demons’ grit, even as they came up just short on the scoreboard.
From the very first inning, Beggs showed they came to compete. Paisley Williams set the tone with an aggressive steal at home, igniting her teammates and giving the Lady Demons an early edge. Even when Kellyville briefly pulled ahead, Beggs refused to fold, answering back in the third inning by forcing a defensive error to tie the game at two.
In the circle, Williams embodied determination. Pitching all four innings, she struck out eight batters while allowing just one earned run, battling through tight situations and keeping her team within reach. Her performance reflected the relentless mindset that carried Beggs through every pitch.
At the plate, Beggs fought for every opportunity. McKenna Morris, Paisley Williams, Paisley Kelley and Anabella Cruz each collected hits, with Williams adding two stolen bases to spark the offense. Every at-bat showed the Demons’ refusal to back down against tough Kellyville pitching.
Even in defeat, Beggs stood tall. Their clean hustle, aggressive play and eight strikeouts showed a team determined not just to play, but to fight until the final out.
The Lady Demons may not have walked away with the win against the Lady Ponies, but they proved once again that determination runs deep in Beggs JH softball. The Lady Demons capped off their season with an electrifying 8-1 record, showing they’re a force to be reckoned with.
