It’s Gumbo Time!
Mayor Leon Anderson of the Town of Grayson, invites the public to attend their annual Gumbo Fest Saturday, Oct. 4, beginning at 10 a.m.
The festival is the town’s main fundraiser and those funds are important in helping maintain Grayson’s annual obligations.
Besides the good food, there will be a raffle, bounce house for the children, socializing and other vendors. The event will be held at the Grayson Community Center, 24160 Martin Luther King. File’ Gumbo is $13 and Seafood Gumbo $17, and both are served with rice, dessert and a drink.
The festival is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include raffles, games, music and more. The Visitors Center will be open. At 3 p.m. there will be a 50/50 drawing and quilt raffle.
