The Okmulgee County Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers is inviting the public to take part in the 2025 Okmulgee County Ag Tour, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20, beginning at 8 a.m. The event will offer participants a guided, behindthe- scenes look at several key agricultural operations across Okmulgee County, with a focus on education, community engagement and local food production.
The Ag Tour will feature stops at the following locations:
• Gang’s Total Feeds – showcasing feed production and livestock nutrition
• Henryetta Farmers Market – highlighting local produce, artisan goods, and community farming initiatives
• Coble Highland Ranch – providing insight into cattle ranching and pasture management
• Akecheta Christmas Tree Farm – featuring sustainable tree farming and agritourism practices These destinations represent a wide range of agricultural specialties, reflecting the depth and diversity of farming and ranching within Okmulgee County. Participants will gain a broader understanding of how agriculture impacts the local economy and supports rural life, from livestock and feed operations to community-based markets and seasonal agribusinesses.
Lunch will be included, provided by The Shack, giving attendees the opportunity to enjoy a locally prepared meal while networking with fellow participants.
Registration for the Ag Tour is $10 per person, and pre-registration is encouraged. The event is open to students, families, and adults, particularly those with an interest in agriculture, agribusiness, or rural development. The tour is designed to be educational and engaging for all age groups.
