The Beggs Junior High Lady Demons continued their perfect season with a dominant 6-0 win over Wetumka Junior High on Tuesday. The victory, played on their home field, improved their record to 8-0.
Beggs wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, putting up three runs in the bottom of the first inning. Paisley Williams reached base on a walk, eventually scoring a run, while McKenna Morris and Madi Jones each delivered key RBI hits.
In the circle, the Lady Demons’ pitchers were outstanding. McKenna Morris earned the win, throwing a no-hitter through four innings. She allowed no runs, struck out six batters, and walked three. Madi Jones came in for relief, pitching a scoreless inning, allowing just one hit, and striking out one while walking three.
At the plate, Morris went 2-for-2 with two stolen bases. Other notable performances came from Madi Jones, Krysta Courtney, Paisley Kelley, Paisley Williams, and Teegan Mills, all contributing with RBIs for the Lady Demons.
The Lady Demons will look to extend their unbeaten streak when they host Seminole Junior High on Monday.
