County runners shine at Henryetta Invitational Cross Country Meet

The 2025 Henryetta Invitational Cross Country Meet held Saturday, Sept. 6, brought together more than 600 runners from across the region. Among them, student-athletes from Okmulgee County schools made their presence known, placing highly across several divisions in both elementary and junior high levels.

Represented in the meet were Henryetta, Dewar, Beggs and Wilson. Here’s a breakdown of how each school’s runners fared during the 1600-meter and 3200-meter races:

Henryetta Results

High School Girls (3200m, 3A/4A)

The Lady Knights dominated their division, with Stormi Waquie, a senior, earning the top spot with a time of 13:44.05. She was followed by teammates:

• Camrynn Watkins (12th) – 14:29.28 (4th place)

• Peyton Wind (11th) – 15:34.55 (7th)

• Peyton Bailey (11th) – 16:03.73 (11th)

• Ashlynn Fulton (9th) – 16:21.55 (14th)

Junior High Boys (1600m)

Henryetta’s boys ran strong in a competitive field:

• Landon Chamberlain (8th) – 6:25.40 (16th)

• Bentley Webster (8th) – 7:13.04 (53rd)
