This year’s beard competition saw a major jump in participation, featuring three categories and plenty of hometown pride. First-place winners in each category walked away with hats from Big Horny Ranch LLC and full beard kits from Modern Viking Beard Company, both local Oklahoma businesses. Every entrant also received gift bags courtesy of FFFCU, GCTC and OK Beard Lovers, adding to the fun and community spirit of the event.

With laughter, memories and a strong turnout, organizers say the beard competition is likely to become a staple of the annual FFFCU Smokin’ Hot Car Show. Visitors are encouraged to register their cars, watch the show and bring kids and pets along for a family-friendly day. This is only one of the many free events offered thanks to the First Family Federal Credit Union, during the Annual Labor Day Weekend Event.

The success hasn’t gone unnoticed – OK Beard Lovers have already been invited to host beard competitions at other festivals across the state. The Okmulgee Pecan Festival is expected to be the next stop, with more events on the horizon.
